Matt's neck seems to be healing pretty well. Seven weeks after the break, the doctors have let him out of his old brace, which was hard plastic and had large plates for his chest and back. Now he wears this thing that looks like a stuffed sock most of the time. The good thing is that he can take it off occasionally, like when he takes his seemingly endless showers in the morning. We've been cutting a little (temporary) slack on that for a while, since he hadn't taken any showers at all since September 1st.
