This was my favorite five minutes of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. After the judging scandal in pairs figure skating, I actually stopped watching the games for several days. I couldn't stay away long, but it wasn't quite the same until this kid skated her long program with skill, grace, and pure joy. She's just a year older than Matt, and is still working on her driver's license (as is Matt), and she brought the house down with her skating and gave the world a reason to smile. I've never enjoyed watching a skater more than Sarah Hughes.
