It's always nice when Maria visits my office. She works a few doors down the hall. Maria came to the U.S. from Florence, Italy, about 8 years ago. She's fluent in french, italian, german, and english, and has degrees in chemical biology and environmental engineering. We work together on a few projects and get together to talk, often about our kids, every day.
