Oakdale26 July 2002

We drove out to a long-distance range in Oakdale today. Long distance, in this case, means about 300 yards from shooter to target. Fortunately, nobody was shooting there today, because we were walking around on the berm behind the targets, where the bullets bury themselves in the ground. Most of the bullets are traveling so fast that they explode on impact. We found a few fragments. Notice the beautiful countryside - typical of central California's foothills.
