So, they're thinking of calling this Patriot Day now? What about April 20th - Patriots Day? Are we going to forget Paul Revere's ride and the shot heard round the world? Hmm. I've always liked the old Patriots Day.
Today a radio station hosted and broadcasted an event in the stadium parking lot in which people rang a bell once for each person who was murdered by terrorists a year ago today. Each bell-ringer said the name, something about the person, or America, or families, or freedom, etc, before s/he rang the bell. This was on the radio from 6:00 a.m. until almost 2:00 p.m. when they finally finished going through the list of names. The wonderful thing was that it was good radio. People listened. I listened all morning. Once in a while, I'd browse the web for 9/11 or WTC or one of the victim's names.
Wouldn't it be nice if we made 9/11 a day for establishing and remembering peace on earth?
