Reider23 September 2002

We held another luncheon seminar at the Sizzler restaurant today. This time, Larry Reider spoke about the WTC disaster and rebuilding lower Manhattan, from an air quality perspective. I'm the vice chair of the San Diego Chapter of the Air & Waste Management Association, an international organization of environmental professionals. It's a good group of people. We have luncheons every month or so, and host other activites like conferences and tailgate parties (we call them "networking meetings") at Padres games. Next year, San Diego will play host to the international conference of the A&WMA, in which thousands of people will gather at the San Diego Convention Center for about a week of information exchange, etc.
