Today in lab, the students mixed lots of solutions with other solutions to see and record what happened. Sometimes nothing happened, but many times they saw the formation of a precipitate or gas bubbles. Each reaction is a double-displacement reaction in which the ions in solutions switch places, or not, depending on their solubility.
