February 2003
What a way to spend a Sunday afternoon: Morley Field,
temperatures in the 60s, disc golf with Scott. We hadn't played since
late November. Today, Scott threw longer on five or six holes than he'd
ever thrown. Although he was obviously rusty, he tied his best score ever
at Morley, a 65 (36/29). I had 58 (29/29). The numbers in parentheses
are our 9-hole totals. Note that he and I tied on the back nine.
The disc in Scott's hand is his player
sponsor disc for this year's Spring Fling at Morley Field. It's a
"candy" Shark, and he actually threw it (instead of his black
plastic Shark) on a few holes and liked it! In the past, it's been difficult
to get him to try other discs.
