This is one of the conference rooms for the National Enforcement Training Institute (NETI), which is part of the EPA. Scott and I were the "official notetakers" for a conference among EPA and Federal Highway Adminstration officials today and yesterday. Actually, we were tasked to write the "proceedings" for the conference, so all we did was type continuously from 8:30 - 4:30 each day. I must admit that I enjoyed it and learned a lot about environmental impact statements and conformity with state air quality implementation plans. Many of the projects I've done for SAIC have involved these very concepts, so it was nice hearing about them from the policymakers and rule developers themselves.
