I pass this strawberry stand on my way to work each morning. It's in a rural area just east of Del Mar and west of Penasquitos. The strawberry farms here cover a few square miles of rolling hills, providing a comforting contrast to the surrounding sprawl. Unfortunately, the developers have staked their claim, and I expect this stand and the surrounding peace will succomb to earthmovers, concrete foundations, and traffic lights within the next year.
