Another fine day in the chemistry lab. Today, the student analyzed a mixture of salt, sand, and chalk, and came up with the mass percentages of each component. This lab involves several new techniques, including gravity filtration, extraction, decanting, and vacuum filtration. They also get to use the hot plates for the first time. Who could ask for more fun on the day before Independence Day?
