We took Snickers to "Animal ER" today. This is a place that is open only from 6 pm to 8 am, to care for animals during the hours when other veterinarian offices aren't open. Pretty good idea, I think. Our veterinarian referred us to them and they were very good with Snickers. It turned out he had a bladder infection that wasn't too far along, but needed to be treated. They put in a catheter in and kept him on IV for the night.

Update on Monday: We took Snickers up to our regular veterinarian in the morning, then brought him back to Animal ER for another night of observation. He seems to be taking it pretty well. We hope he'll be home on Tuesday.
