San Diego's shoreline is often cloudy when the rest of
the city and county are baking in dry sunlight. I sometimes drive onto
the cliffs near the glider port to watch hang gliders and feel the ocean
breeze blowing through my car while I'm eating lunch or grading chemistry
papers (or both). This is the view from the glider port south toward La
Jolla. There's a trail down to Black's Beach from here, but I've not yet
walked it. (Ask Tom about it sometime.)
