Back into the old routine. Work, then grading papers and taking pictures at the Wednesday night marching band rehearsal. Once again, they lined up their instruments while they were practicing their patterns on the football field. Today's favorite line-up is the clarinets. Next trip for work: Kansas in December. For some reason, I'm not feeling quite as much envy from my coworkers about this as I felt about Hawaii. Nobody has said, "Kansas, oh, tough life," or anything with similar sarcastic tone. Usually, they just laugh. They know, of course, that I'll make the best of the trip and find ways to enjoy it.
