engine parts11 December 2003

This incredibly complex object is part of a tank engine. The middle part consists of 250 or so very thin metal circles. It all has something to do with the air flow into and out of the engine. Our host explained it to us, because we really couldn't find any environmental problems in his shop, but I really didn't understand much of what he said. I have enough trouble figuring out how the motor on my lawnmower works.
