You'd think I get enough of kids band rehearsals, going to the stadium every Wednesday this fall to take photos of Matt and Scott. But no, it had been a while since our band's last tournament, and I learned that a visiting band from Oklahoma was using our stadium this morning, so I couldn't resist going to see and hear them. Turned out they had just arrived in San Diego a couple of hours earlier after a 30-hour bus ride from Enid starting at 12:01 am yesterday morning. They were here for the Holiday Bowl competition with several other band. I talked with many of the parents, who were excited about the prospect of taking their first shower in two days, then going to visit one of our outdoor shopping malls.
