We went to Esperanza's "Family Day" today at Rancho Bernardo High School this afternoon. It featured the drum line, brass line, open color guard, and world color guard, plus several songs from a local guitar playing singer-songwriter who used to play in the group. The brass line played their ballad from last year's show and the opener from this year's show. They sound terrific after only a few rehearsals. This group will be a big part of our lives this year. After the show, we went outside to sign up for various volunteering opportunities, check out the merchandize, meet the directors, and eat refreshments.
