Vij treated us to a great crab dinner at Boondocks Friday
night. Here's our platter of crabs seasoned with Old Bay. Gary watched me
spend about 45 minutes picking at my first crab. I began thinking that I
might starve to death if I had to survive on these tasty creatures, since
I'd use more energy getting the meat out of the crab than I'd gain by consuming
it. After enjoying my struggle on the first crab, Gary taught me how to
do it right, with a hammer and blade. The demonstration shown here was not
part of the lesson.
