Jacaranda blossoms brighten San Diego's streets each May. We planted our two trees a bit too close to the house, and they didn't bloom much in the first few years. Our jacarandas have been spectacular this year, and are now covering our patio and pool with a lovely purple carpet.

One of the best places to enjoy these flowers is Morley Field in downtown's Balboa Park. Disc golf in May .... ahhh.
