Day 1,000 for pqdsms.net! How many words are a thousand photos worth?

We finally made it to Petco Park today. It's a nice place, and so was the old ballpark, so why bother building the new one? We and 40,000 others watched the Padres beat the Milwaukee Brewers, 8-3, on this hazy and windy Sunday afternoon. Our tickets said the game started at 1:05, but for some reason it didn't start until 2:05, so we had plenty of time to look around. One interesting thing about Petco Park is the grassy hillside out in center field from which one can watch the games. There's a nearby play area where kids can run around if their short attention spans win out over their interest in major league baseball.
