The four of us went to the band banquet today. It was Susan and Scott's first time; Matt and I have now attended three of them. It's an occasion to celebrate the band season, give out awards, say goodbye to seniors, and set the leadership roster for the coming year. The director announced that Matt will be a trumpet section leader next year; no big surprise to anyone except Matt, I think.
