This is why I wanted a new camera: to get photos like
this one. There's barely enough light in a high school gymnasium to
capture this kind of
action. And now that I've actually got a single lens reflex camera that's
not stuck on automatic, I'm starting to notice things like ISO, shutter
speed, and aperture. This one was at an ISO of 1600, a fixed shutter
speed of 1/125 seconds. The aperture turned out to be f/5, so I could
have gone a little faster with the shutter, or lower on the ISO setting,
but at 3 frames per second (this is the first of 4 shots I took as
he drove
for the basket), there wasn't much time for adjustment. Click the photo
to see the rest of my basketball pics from last night's game.
This is pretty
fun.
