The gym at Sweetwater High is so dark that I had to
set my camera at ISO 1600 to stop the action. After getting a little
blur today with programmed
autoexposure mode, I decided to use shutter priority later on. This one
was 1/60 seconds at f/4.2, with exposure compensation of -0.7 EV using
my 70-300 mm lens (at 90 mm focal length). I used the automatic brightness
enhancement function available in Nikon's PicturePerfect software to
fix up the photo a bit before publishing it here. The great thing is
that all these data are starting to make sense to me. Oh,
by the way, this is Scott driving to the basket in his team's win against
Kearny High School. He didn't make the basket, but was fouled by the
defender and made the second of his two free throws.
