This was worth the trip. After getting up at 4, driving to LA, working there til 2:30, then driving back and teaching my chem class, I was able to attend Matt's jazz band concert tonight. The video camera didn't work, unfortunately, but I was able to get plenty of good still shots. I'm hoping one of our parent friends took video so we can get a copy. The band sounded great.
