Susan made these marching squares for Scott to use this year. The skull and crossbones is, of course for the trom-bones. They use these to mark certain spots on the field when they're learning the complex moves of the band's field show. Eventually, they'll be able to get to the spots without the squares. When that happens depends on the student, I suppose.
