. It now seems a good possibility that our Padres will make it to the playoffs with a winning percentage close to 50% (or .500 in baseballspeak). A seven game lead with a few weeks to go in the season is hard for any team to overcome, or lose. Maybe they'll outdo the 1973 Mets, who almost won the World Series after going 82-80 in the regular season. We're hoping they get hot in October.

This photo shows our front row seats right behind the bullpen, a month or so ago at Petco Park. I'm hoping we get to one or two more games during the regular season, and perhaps during the playoffs as well.
