This evening I got beat by the Treasurer of the Chess Club. Even with a stronger set of pieces on my side, the cramped pawn configuration on my right flank left me wide open to his knight/queen attack.

After work today, Matt drove over to Torrey Pines to meet me for a run. We ran twice around the Guy Fleming trail. Even without the flowers that line the path during winter and spring, this is one of the most beautiful spots in San Diego. Tonight with the sun setting over the ocean, the lagoon north of the trail was bright green with bright blue water weaving through it. Beautiful enough that I wish I'd brought my camera along during the run. It was nice, though, just being out there with Matt.
