This is the osprey that has been hanging around Penasquitos Lagoon and Torrey Pines reserve lately. I took this and five or six other photos this past Wednesday afternoon with a 300 mm lens from the beach as it was soaring above the cliffs, quite far away. This image is cropped quite a bit, so the resolution is much lower than usual. I'm hoping to get a closer view on one of my future walks.

This weekend was pretty strange, with only Scott in the house. Tonight he went to try out for a club volleyball team. We stayed for a while, then Susan went home and I went to Panera for my office hours. A couple of students stopped by, but most of the time I was just grading labs and posting the scores on the Internet. Had a nice bowl of soup and some bread for dinner.
