Every Monday afternoon, I attend the New Faculty Seminar at Point Loma, where topics include teaching and how students learn, the Wesleyan tradition, campus issues and policies, etc. Today we discussed diversity. The meeting includes two teachers in Arcadia and one in Bakersfield in a teleconference format. After a few weeks of glitches and annoying feedback, the video conferencing system seems to be working quite well.
