Gareth and Jeff looked through some of my old notes dating from a class I took in 1979 before attempting to synthesize two quadruply-bonded molybdenum compounds in the lab today. Of course, due primarily to their own skills in the lab, they were successful in producing beautiful crystals of both compounds.
