24 May 2007Doheny State Beach on a cloudy evening. Matt and I had another nice visit at the end of my workday in Orange County today. First we went over to the Big A to get schedules for upcoming Angels games. Then we checked out the Discovery Science Center in Santa Ana; it's the building with the big black cube sitting on one of its corners that you see on your way up I-5 just before Disneyland. It turned out to be, in Matt's words, a "cross between Chuck E Cheese and our real Science Museum in San Diego." We visited the Bowers Museum, also in Santa Ana, after that. We'll likely return to that one, to see the upcoming Terra Cotta Soldiers exhibit from China. Finally, we stopped at Rubio's for a nice dinner, before I headed home along the coast, past this lovely beach. DWL |
