Today I drove up to Irvine to bring Matt some shoes and a tie for his job interview at Borders at South Coast Plaza, a huge mall just west of Irvine. As you might notice from the rollover image, it was smokier in Orange County than it was in San Diego. He started the interview at 11:00 and got the job at 11:05. Must have been the shoes... I went to a couple of Point Loma soccer games at nearby Concordia University while Matt studied and napped in the afternoon. Later, we got a take-out dinner at Rubio's and watched Game Two of the World Series in Matt's apartment. With a week off from my jobs due to the fires and smoky air, it was time well spent.
