13 April 2008The keynote speaker for yesterday's biology conference was Francis Collins, the director of the Human Genome Project that has been revolutionizing the fields of genetics and medicine during the past decade. He spoke on "The Language of God: A Believer Looks at the Human Genome" (link to online audio of the lecture) to a crowd of 2,000 or so people on Friday night. Tonight, he spoke to the students and faculty involved in the biology conference on "Genomics and the Future of Medicine and Society." He finished his talk with a song about the genome.
