Today for my birthday, I wrote an exam, gave the exam to my chemistry students, then taught two chemistry labs. When I got home, Susan had a birthday card and cake waiting for me. She had made Dorothy's recipe for a margarita cake, and it was pretty good! Here, Brandee and Andrea are learning about how to use red cabbage juice as a pH indicator. Spending my birthday teaching chemistry wasn't bad at all. It's been one of my favorite things to do for the past 32 years or so.
