We're anticipating a nice visit with Mom and Dad in a week or so. I've suddenly found myself five days behind in this journal, with a broken scanner. Fortunately, I've got a whole zip disk full of Ocean Park photos.

Today we attended a nice band concert at the high school. Matt's "freshman band" played in their marching uniforms; the upper grade bands played in black and white formalwear. Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos of the occasion. We do have a video tape, but Matt was obscured by another trumpet player.

Earlier in the day, I joined other science faculty in taking the lab techs out to lunch at Joe's Crab Shack, went back to my office, then gave a final exam in the early evening. Just another day of running around, being busy. No time to relax...
