Bayley spotted this possum in our backyard last night. She (our dog) was just sitting by the back door barking and didn't move toward the possum at all. We went out to see what was going on, and found the possum chewing the bark off of our Canary Island pine tree.

This possum, or one of his/her friends or relatives, has been a frequent nocturnal visitor to our backyard for years, but we've really never gotten to know any of them. We hope that Bayley will continue to keep her distance as well.
