Merry Christmas!

We had a nice Christmas in San Diego today. As usual, it was a nice sunny day with temperatures in the 60s. Most of the time, though, we stayed inside. Everyone got up around 8:30 or 9:00 a.m., following our late night in the emergency room. We opened presents in our stockings, then those from under the tree. Usually, we eat breakfast before the second round of presents, but this time nobody was hungry and we were all a little tired anyway. The morning went by fast, as we assembled Scott's new stereo and looked over our other new things. Matt has to wait a while for his present to be shipped from dell.com. He'll be taking a C++ programming class this spring, so now he'll have a machine on which to do his homework.

Bob T came over for Christmas dinner a little after the noon hour. We had a simple meal of ham, mashed potatoes, salad, and crescent rolls. Cheesecake was available for dessert, but we delayed that a few hours. After Bob left, we had a nice 4-way game of Yahtzee while we were watching a replay of the Concert for NYC on the music video channel, VH-1. It was a nice, quiet Christmas day for all of us.
