Each member of the band must march in front of the directors and band leaders to be evaluated, after each studetn has finished his or her short walk, the director, assistant director, and drum major each hold out their hands and show either "thumbs up" or "thumbs down." It's great to see the excitement on their faces once they've passed the "thumbs up" test.
