I drove up to Escondido to see Niki de Saint Phalle's latest and last sculpture, Queen Califia's Magical Garden in the Iris Sankey Arboretum in Kit Carson Park. This beautiful mosaic with 9 totems surrounded by a 400-foot snake wall came from the same artist who created the Sun God sculpture at UCSD in La Jolla.
