It's been 21 years since I first set foot in California, and I've finally made the drive down the coast from San Francisco to San Diego. It's about time. This drive takes a while, but is well worth it. The views are spectacular. We spent 16 hours on the road today, driving 650 miles. It was about 9 hours and 500 miles on the way up on the highway. We visited three more colleges on our way down: California State University Monterey Bay, California Polytechnic University San Luis Obispo, and University of California Santa Barbara.
