Not much picture-taking today. Spent a couple of minutes trying to photograph some dolphins off the coast, but never got anything good. This is the old powerhouse tower in Del Mar, now the location of a community center.

I went to Starbucks this afternoon before a meeting at the school, and the guy getting my coffee said, "Hey professor, I'm taking your class this semester. Chemistry isn't my strong subject." I replied, "It will be, once I'm through with you." I'm hoping he took my comment as benevolent words of encouragement. We'll see.
