Last night we ate dinner at Casa de Pico in Old Town for the last time. We stood in a line that stretched out to the street, but as usual it was well worth the wait. Due to a change in lease, Casa de Pico, along with the rest of the Bazaar del Mundo, where we've taken all of our visitors many times, will close their doors on May 15. We were glad to have the chance to enjoy it one more time, and it was a wonderful birthday dinner. A few more of my photos from the evening are here.

Today, we spent most of the day up north. Scott had an all-day volleyball tournament in Redondo Beach, losing to the perennial national champion Mira Costa High School in the quarterfinals after placing second in their round-robin bracket.

Matt and I went up to visit the UC Irvine bookstore. I got a nice anteater sticker for my car.
