Yesterday, Matt and I explored the Newport Beach area, which is about 5 miles west of UC Irvine. We hadn't noticed this nice rocky beach before. Aside from the new development east of Crystal Cove State Park, it's quite a nice area. We drove around a bit in the beach traffic, then found a Rubio's mexican restaurant for lunch, and headed up to Redondo Beach for Scott's volleyball tournament. I think Matt will like it up at UCI.
