10 September 2011 - Ocean Beach Jazz Festival

This is the Wayne Wallace Quintet, well, four out of five. The other guy played guitar. Wayne was pretty amazing on trombone and had an easy, humble voice when he spoke to the crowds. We watched him at both of the venues where he played, first at the main stage, then at Hodad's.

Matt, Scott, Jess, and I had a wonderful day at the festival. After enjoying the bands so much last year, we didn't want to miss this one. It's a long day of walking and standing around. They never have enough chairs, it seems, even in the large venues. Overall, it was well worth the tired feet.
